The Book That Made Him Turn Around
One evening at Ghatkopar Station, as I was about to conclude my book distribution, I showed a young boy a copy of the Bhagavad-gītā. He hardly noticed it and walked away, so I assumed he was not interested. A little later, while I was returning to the station, the same boy came running after me and asked, “Were you showing me the Bhagavad-gītā? I thought you were just another book seller, so I didn’t notice. Can I have a copy?” His eagerness touched me deeply. Just moments earlier, I had thought he was uninterested, but now he was chasing me to receive the Bhagavad-gītā. That experience gave me great enthusiasm for book distribution. It reminded me that we should never judge someone’s interest from their first reaction. Sometimes Kṛṣṇa is already working in their heart—we simply have to keep presenting Śrīla Prabhupāda’s books with faith.
